The regions with the best wind resources in Brazil are in the north east and in the south of the country. Each State has its own characteristics and the wind industry is developing in different ways in the different regions. In the less developed North East of Brazil, there is an emphasis on the role of the wind industry (including wind equipment manufacturing) in job creation.
