Renova Energia has confirmed that it secured contracts for 103.6MW of wind energy, all in the state of Bahia, in the A-3 Auction yesterday. The average price of the contracts, which commence on 1 March 2014, was R$98.53 per MWh. The price will rise in line with inflation. The estimated revenue from these contracts for Renova, at current prices, is equivalent to R$91.6 million annually. Renova confirmed that the capacity secured was in farms at Ametista, Borgo, Caetité, Dourados, Espigão, Maron, Pelourinho, Pilões and Serra do Espinhaço.
