The governor of Paraiba state, Ricardo Coutinho, and other local government representatives met a group of Spanish business leaders to discuss opportunities for investment in a number of areas including wind energy, according to website ClickPB. Coutinho emphasised that his state is open to investments which will contribute to sustainable development, according to the website. Secretary of Tourism and Economic Development for Paraiba, Renato Feliciano, was reported to have confirmed that one of the potential investors is French multinational conglomerate Alstom, which is already developing a wind farm in the state of Bahia.
